Instituto Thomas Jefferson Guadalajara - Palomar was announced and opened its doors with 580 students from Preschool to 8th Grade. From day one, students walked into a supportive environment designed to foster academic excellence and personal growth.

We proudly celebrated our very first High School Graduation, a moment that showcased our students’ hard work and determination. Graduates left equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to pursue their dreams.

ITJ became an Association of American Schools in Mexico (ASOMEX) candidate and surpassed 1,000 students, expanding our community and resources. This milestone brought students greater access to enriched academic programs and a strong network of American schools, enhancing their learning opportunities.

Earning NEASC Accreditation and official ASOMEX membership raised our standards even higher, assuring families of top-quality education and access to more international universities. Due to growing demand, we announced ITJ - Valle Real as an extension, giving more students access to our innovative approach by adding new campus facilities.

We celebrated 10 incredible years with a time capsule ceremony and opened ITJ Guadalajara - Valle Real with 600 students, including many transferring from Palomar. This expansion created fresh opportunities and a vibrant community.

Joining International School’s Partnership - ISP connected our students to a global network, broadening their educational horizons and immersing them into diverse cultures and ideas.

Our 15th anniversary was celebrated with a lively community birthday party, reflecting the strong bonds and spirit that empower our students every day to excel academically and socially within a caring environment.

The remodeling and expansion of our auditorium, gym, and other spaces gave students enhanced facilities for learning, sports, and events - boosting their overall experience and fostering teamwork, creativity, and school pride.

By hosting the ASOMEX Soccer 7 Tournament, ITJ welcomed over 500 attendees and offered students an exciting chance to develop teamwork, leadership, and healthy competition in a spirited, supportive atmosphere.

By hosting the ASOMEX Principals’ Conference, ITJ highlighted its leadership role in education, inspiring innovative ideas and best practices that directly enrich our students’ academic journey every day.

Our ASOMEX school launched the Second Step program, a research-based curriculum for Kindergarten–Grade 5 that develops human skills like empathy, problem-solving, growth mindset, and emotion management. Students gain tools for positive relationships, resilience, and a supportive school climate, boosting both social and academic success.

Students benefit from ITJ Palomar’s affiliation with ASOMEX accreditation, which gives them access to exceptional academic, cultural, sports and leadership opportunities across Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America - broadening their perspectives and connections.
