Students at ITJ Palomar thrive in our Gifted and Talented Program, which follows the framework of the Johns Hopkins University Centre for Talented Youth (CTY) and is designed to challenge and inspire their unique abilities. Meeting twice a week, they collaborate, innovate, and develop critical skills with personalized support, exploring their talents through engaging, research-driven projects on real-world topics. This program empowers students to grow, share their discoveries, and open the door to a bright future.

A program for high-ability students that enhances talents, fosters creativity, develops research skills, and promotes social and emotional growth through year-long, project-based learning. Based on the Johns Hopkins University model.
Students who show outstanding abilities, either in a specific area or across multiple disciplines.
Students leave their regular class twice a week for a 40-minute session to work on their projects. All work is done at school with no homework assigned.

Through teacher observation, psychometric testing, or parental request. If identified, students are observed, parents are informed, and an external evaluation confirms eligibility before admission.
