Kindergarten

At our Kindergarten with bilingual education, children begin a journey of discovery and growth from their very first steps. From Nursery to Pre-First, they grow curious and confident from until the age of 7, through the International Early Years Curriculum, in a warm, bilingual environment where English and French come together naturally.

Our curriculum

The International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) supports learning from Nursery to Pre-First through fun, hands-on projects. Using practical, Montessori-inspired and inclusive methods, it encourages curiosity, creativity, thinking skills, and independence, while including the learning goals required by the Secretaría de Educación Pública.

Emotional Development

Building emotional awareness and self-regulation

From the very start in our international nursery, children are supported in identifying and expressing their emotions in a safe, nurturing environment. Through daily routines, storytelling, and guided interactions, they begin to build self-awareness and empathy.

As they move into Kindergarten and Pre-First, students explore more complex social interactions, learn to resolve conflicts respectfully, and gain greater independence and self-confidence - key foundations for lifelong well-being.

Emotional Development

Psychomotor Skills

Developing strength, coordination, and movement

Gross motor activities begin in Nursery with playful movement, crawling tunnels, soft climbing structures, and rhythm-based games. These build body awareness, balance, and large muscle control.

As students advance through Kindergarten and Pre-First, they engage in more structured physical challenges, such as obstacle courses, ball games, and coordination drills that develop agility, spatial orientation, and teamwork.

Library

Fostering a love of reading

Library visits are an integral part of every week from Nursery onward.
Young learners explore picture books, sing rhymes, and develop listening comprehension through shared reading.

Children at our Kindergarten in Mexico State start exploring books independently, discussing stories, asking questions, and beginning to recognize letters, words, and themes, fostering a lifelong love of literature.

Early Mathematical Thinking

Laying the groundwork for mathematical reasoning

In Nursery, math concepts are introduced through daily play-sorting, patterning, counting objects, and recognizing shapes.

From Kindergarten onward, children use Mathematical Thinking in Early Education (EMAT), a visual and interactive math program designed to strengthen numeracy skills through engaging games and hands-on manipulatives.

By Pre-First, learners solve simple problems, estimate, sequence, and reason-building a strong conceptual base that prepares them for more formal math instruction.

Music

Exploring rhythm, sound, and expression

In Nursery, children engage with rhythm and sound through movement, instruments, and songs, actively exploring their musical environment.

As they progress through Kinder and Pre-First, children build rhythm patterns, sing in groups, and perform simple melodies, enhancing their auditory skills, coordination, and appreciation of diverse musical cultures from around the world.

Art

Creativity through color, shape, and texture

Young learners begin their artistic journey in Nursery with free expression, using fingers, sponges, and paint to explore texture and color firsthand.

As children progress through our international kindergarten school and Pre-First, they develop skills in more refined techniques such as drawing, collage, sculpting, and mixed media, deepening their creative abilities.

Through weekly art projects, children nurture fine motor skills, express themselves confidently, and grow their understanding of aesthetic and visual storytelling.

Jolly Phonics

Building early Literacy step by step

Young learners in Nursery engage with Baby Phonics through playful sounds, gestures, and visuals that introduce foundational letter sounds.

In our kindergarten in Mexico State, children begin using Jolly Phonics, a systematic and multi-sensory program that develops phonemic awareness, blending, segmenting, and decoding skills.

By Pre-First, children confidently read simple sentences, write basic words and short texts, and start to grasp the structure of language in both spoken and written forms, laying a strong foundation for literacy.

French

Early multilingual exposure

Starting in Kinder 2, children engage with French through songs, movement, and stories woven into their weekly routine.

Learners build vocabulary with greetings, colors, numbers, and everyday words in a fun, relaxed environment. This early language exposure strengthens listening comprehension and pronunciation, while fostering an open-minded attitude toward languages and diverse culture.

French

Spanish

Building home language skills

In Pre-First, children formally deepen their Spanish skills as part of balanced bilingual development.

They reinforce vocabulary, sentence structure, and writing in their home language, enhancing cognitive flexibility and laying a strong foundation for success in a multilingual academic journey.

Pre-Writing Preparation

Refining control and coordination

Starting in Kinder 2, children develop fine motor skills through activities tracing, lacing, cutting, and drawing.

By the end of Pre-First, young learners hold a pencil with proper grip, form letters accurately, and complete writing tasks with increasing independence.

Pre-Writing Preparation

Dictation

Strengthening spelling and listening

In Pre-First, children use dictation to connect spoken and written language.

They listen closely to syllables, recognize familiar words, and write short sentences—boosting auditory processing, focus, and spelling accuracy.
