Preschool
From the very start at our Kindergarten with bilingual education, our youngest learners grow as bilingual speakers, fully immersed in English while developing Spanish, building communication skills, confidence, and a love of language in a nurturing, play-based environment.
Around 80% of daily experiences unfold in English and 20% in Spanish, nurturing a strong foundation in both languages and a sense of belonging in a multilingual world.
French is also introduced as a third language, giving children an early experience of multilingualism and cultural awareness.
Elementary School
At our bilingual Elementary school, learners continue to learn most subjects in English while strengthening their Spanish skills through tailored lessons.
Core academic subjects are taught in English, while SEP-mandated subjects, including Spanish Language Arts, Mexican Social Studies/Civics, and selected special classes, are taught in Spanish.
At this stage, French becomes an integral part of their learning, introduced through dynamic, project-based experiences that make language acquisition meaningful and naturally connected to real-life contexts.
Middle School
As students progress at our bilingual Middle School, their bilingual abilities deepen. Core subjects continue in English, complemented by advanced Spanish and coding as a language.
This stage also emphasizes cultural learning and practical language use, preparing students for greater linguistic challenges and helping them apply their knowledge beyond the classroom.
High School
At our High school in Guadalajara, students continue with English and Spanish while selecting a third language - French, German, or Italian - depending on school offerings.
Learners also participate in enriching events, including the International Pot Luck and cultural trips - bringing their language learning to life in real-world settings.
Students explore languages through conversation, music, food, and games, practicing real-life communication, sharing cultural traditions, and building confidence, connection, and respect across diverse cultures within the school community.
Practice speaking multiple languages while sharing dishes and cultural stories.
Use Spanish in conversation, games, and activities while enjoying food with friends.
International Pot Luck
At the International Pot Luck, students share a taste of their culture by bringing favorite dishes from home to enjoy with friends, teachers, and families.
They explore new flavors, learn about traditions from around the world, and take part in lively performances, games, and activities.
The event celebrates the diversity students experience every day at school and helps them feel proud of who they are while connecting with others.
Special Spanish picnic
During the Special Spanish Picnic, international students gather outdoors to practice Spanish in a fun and relaxed way.
They share food, exchange stories, and enjoy time together with classmates and staff.
This experience helps students build friendships, gain confidence using the language, and feel part of a supportive community.
Through a rich mix of language experiences, our bilingual school in Guadalajara helps students build the skills and resilience they need to thrive.
Graduating students consistently demonstrate outstanding English language proficiency.
Many learners progress to advanced levels, with a considerable number reaching C1 and an impressive group attaining C2 or higher.
Through International School Partnerships' International Opportunities programme, our students immerse themselves in cultural exchanges, debates, and creative film projects - safe and exciting rehearsal spaces where they can practice and grow their language skills with confidence.
Our program welcomes international and local students, guiding them as they adapt to the Spanish language and vibrant culture.
It builds bridges - offering practical tools, support, and cultural understanding so every student feels welcome and ready to join school life. Teachers and families work together, making language learning a shared journey toward belonging.
Individual Language Plans (ILPs) are tailored to each student’s language needs, created with teachers to provide focused support and track progress.
By focusing on specific learning goals, ILPs help every student build confidence and achieve meaningful growth in Spanish, making their experience personal and effective.
I really like my school, Thomas Jefferson, because they have the Special Spanish program that helps you speak Spanish and all kinds of languages.
