ITJ Palomar triumphs at regional robotics contest

ITJ Palomar students showcased their talent at the Regional Robotics Competition, winning top prizes across categories and earning the honor of hosting the next Robomatrix Jr. occidente.

This june, our students stepped into the exciting world of innovation and technology at the Regional Robotics Competition – Robomatrix, held at centro educacional tlaquepaque 2 in Jalisco. Robomatrix is an international robotics competition with connections to renowned events worldwide, including Robomatrix Continental, Robot Challenge China, Infomatrix World Finals, Genius USA, Robotex Estonia, and Robotic Arena Poland. It provides students with the chance to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork on both national and international stages. 

Students from Preschool to High School took part in categories such as Beebot, Car Race, Line Follower, Lego Sumo, and more, building projects with LEGO kits and innovative materials under the guidance of their dedicated Technology teachers. This event was more than just a competition - it was an opportunity for our young learners to explore the possibilities of science and technology in fun, challenging, and meaningful ways. 

We are proud to share the outstanding achievements of our ITJ Palomar students, who impressed the judges and brought home multiple awards: 

• 1st place & trophy – Beebot (Preschool): Esteban D., Santiago G. 
• 1st place – Vybrabott (Elementary): Gael G. 
• 1st place & trophy – Car Race Libre (Elementary): Juan G., José A. 
• 2nd place – Car Race Libre (Middle School): Sofía R., Daniela R. 
• 3rd place – Vybrabott (Elementary): Ivanna A., Emilio J. 
• 3rd place – Car Race Educare (Elementary): Leor V., Leonardo T. 
•  3rd place – Inzectobott (Elementary): Julia B., Martina M. 
• 3rd place – LEGO Sumo (Elementary): Iñaki M., Diego G. 
• Each student’s hard work, creativity, and perseverance reflected the true spirit of innovation. Their success highlights not only their talent but also the commitment of our teachers, who guided them throughout the process. 

Thanks to this incredible performance, ITJ Palomar has been chosen to host the next edition of Robomatrix Jr. Occidente. We are excited to welcome students from across the region and continue inspiring future innovators.
